In view of the recent landslides that have severely disrupted road and rail connectivity to Guwahati, the State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) has extended special consideration to candidates from the affected districts of Dima Hasao and Barak Valley who were unable to attend their scheduled interviews.
The natural calamity led to the cancellation and rescheduling of several train services, preventing many candidates from appearing for the interviews for Grade-IV posts.
“In light of the information received regarding the recent landslide incidents near Jaginga-Lampu section of NH-27 affecting the rail connectivity to Guwahati from Dima Hasao and Barak Valley Districts and considering Bulletin-1 regarding cancellation and re-scheduling of trains issued by Railway, NFHQ dated 23-06-2025, special consideration is being extended to the candidates from the affected districts who may be unable to appear for their scheduled interviews for Class-IV posts,” the official notification read.
Hence, to ensure fairness and equal opportunity, the Commission has decided to offer a revised interview date exclusively for candidates from these two districts.
Details of the rescheduled interviews will be announced soon. Affected candidates are advised to stay updated through the official ASSEB website (formerly SEBA) at www.sebaonline.org.
