Guwahati: Minor Girl Exposes Sexual Abuse by Family Friend; Father also Arrested

In a disturbing case, a minor girl from Guwahati has come forward with allegations of sexual abuse by her father’s friend who frequently visited their home from Kolkata.

The shocking confession was made in front of police officials during the investigation of an entirely separate domestic violence case involving her stepmother.

The matter came to light when the girl’s stepmother lodged a complaint against her husband, accusing him of physical abuse. As police began probing the domestic violence allegation, the young girl, visibly shaken, reportedly broke down and revealed that she had been suffering in silence for a long time.

According to sources, Ajay, the father’s friend, had been a regular visitor to their home located in Kamakhya. Taking advantage of moments when no other family members were around, he allegedly assaulted the girl multiple times.

Her unexpected confession shocked the investigating officers, who immediately initiated action based on her statement. A team was sent to Kolkata, where Ajay was located and taken into custody. He has since been brought back to Guwahati for further interrogation.

In connection with the domestic violence complaint, the girl’s father has also been arrested. Both men are currently in police custody.

Further investigation is underway.
