1st Omicron Case in Northeast Detected in Manipur

The first case of Omicron variant of COVID-19 in the Northeast was detected in Manipur on Monday. The patient had recently returned from Tanzania. He is currently undergoing treatment at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences in Imphal.

Reportedly, the 46-year-old patient is said to be stable.

Incidently, the 1st case of COVID in northeast was also detected in Manipur in 2020.That patient was a girl who had returned from UK.
