Amid Bills Row, Kangna Calls Farmers “Terrorists”

Pratidin Bureau

Kangna Ranaut seems to have become the queen of controversies. In yet another below-the-belt remark, she ended up labeling the farmers of Punjab who are protesting against the alleged anti-farm bills that were passed in Rajya Sabha on Sunday as "terrorists".

In reply to one of the tweets of PM Modi aimed at allaying the fears of the farmers with regard to the agricultural bills, she tweeted in Hindi that these are "the same terrorists who indulged in bloodshed even as no citizen lost citizenship due to CAA".

Earlier, PM Modi had tweeted in three languages in a bid to assure the farmers that the bills won't harm their interests. He had written, "I said it earlier and I say it once again: System of MSP will remain. Government procurement will continue. We are here to serve our farmers. We will do everything possible to support them and ensure a better life for their coming generations."

Ranaut, while quoting the PM's tweet, replied in Hindi comparing the farmers to terrorists.
