Former chief of the Central Board of Film Certification Pahlaj Nihalani has announced he is making a film based on the life of the now-disgraced tycoon Vijay Mallya and the actor playing the lead role is none other than Govinda.

The movie, the concept of which has raised many eyebrows, is reportedly called 'Rangeela Raja'. This is the first collaboration between Govinda and Nihalani in 35 years.

"Audiences will be surprised to see his new avatar," Nihalani said, referring to the persona of Govinda in the movie.

During his term as the chief of CBFC, Nihalani's actions were largely criticized by cinema lovers. So, it would be interesting to see if he can impress the audience with his new movie.

Liquor baron Vijay Mallya is currently residing in the United Kingdom.
