‘Kaala’ filmmakers sued for Rs 100 crore

A Mumbai based journalist Jawahar Nadar has filed a defamation suit on the filmmakers of Rajnikanth's upcoming film 'Kaala', seeking an amount of Rs 100 crore.

Nadar has claimed that the film portrays his late father, who was nicknamed 'Kaala Seth', in a bad light. Producer of the film has claimed that the gangster drama film is not based on Nadar's father.

Jawahar said that he wants to use the amount as an aid for Tamilians residing in Dharavi.

The film is set for worldwide release on June 07.
