“Fed Up Of This Quarantine”- Brazilian President

Pratidin Bureau

Even as WHO warned that the COVID-19 scenario may get worse if countries didn't adhere to strict safety protocols, a few countries heads still seem to be brushing aside the seriousness of the pandemic.

Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro reportedly said on Monday that he is fed up of living a quarantined life after testing positive and plans to go for another test for confirmation.

AFP quoted the President saying to CNN Brazil as, "The results of the test should be out in a few hours, and I will wait quite anxiously because I can't stand this routine of staying at home. It's horrible…."

The far-right President has been a sharp critic of the pandemic since the very beginning. He was also not happy over the governors of Brazil announcing containment measures in the states.

Brazil has been one of the worst hit countries by the contagion. With around 1.8 million confirmed cases, it stands only next to the USA.
