Global Count of COVID-19 Cases Crosses 10 million

The global official count of COVID-19 cases crossed 10 million on Sunday, a report by AFP said. Half of the cases have been found in Europe and the USA.

Around 4,98,779 deaths have been registered worldwide. Europe has borne the brunt of casualties with 2,637,546 cases and 195,975 fatalities followed by the USA, which has witnessed 2,510,323 infections including 125,539 deaths.

As many as One million new cases have surfaced just in the past 6 days, the report said.
