12 Police Personnel of Satgaon PS Test COVID-19+

With the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Assam, the frontline workers are also infected with the deadly disease. The police personnel who are serving the people day and night amid the coronavirus pandemic are also infected with the virus.

It was reported on Friday that 12 police personnel from Satgaon Police Station in Guwahati are infected with the virus which creates panic among the other staff and jawans.

The Satgaon PS comprises of 30 police personnel and the detection of COVID-19 in 12 of them creates chaos among themselves.

The police station is yet to be declared as Containment Zone.

However, ADGP GP Singh in a tweet said that a total of 402 personnel have tested positive of the virus in the state till July 9 out of which 116 have recovered.

Singh in his tweet said, "July 9th 2020 – @assampolice 402 personnel have tested positive for Covid-19 till date out of whom 116 have recovered. All others are stable."
