20 kg ganja seized, one arrested

The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Saturday morning detained one with more than 20 kilograms of ganja valued several lakhs of rupees. Based on a secret tip-off, the peddler had been caught red handed by the GRP.

Identified as Manjit Kumar (26) the peddler was apprehended from platform No. 1 of Guwahati Railway Station allegedly for carrying illicit drugs.

Reportedly, he was on 12423 Down Rajdhani Express train with more than three packets of ganja weighing 20 Kgs. Kumar is a resident of Jhallar, Haryana.

Similar incidents occurred few days back when two drug peddlers were apprehended by the GRP  from Rajdhani express with ganja worth  lakhs.
