Sivasagar Police have seized 46 number of DSLR camerasfrom Nau Ali in the district from one Prince alias Piti's house.

The police apprehended Prince but has not received anyinformation about Santanu Saikia who has given the camera to Prince as mortgageand taken an amount of Rs. 7lakh in interest from Prince.

Later, police recovered the cameras from Prince's house after launching an operation based on the complaint lodged by the owners of the cameras.

According to reports, Santanu Saikia has arranged 53 cameras from 44 unemployed youths saying that he will use the cameras in different projects. But after a few days, the owners of the cameras found that Saikia is absconding from the scene. The owners have to come on a daily basis to ask for the camera and the money which Saikia assured them of giving but when they found that he is not there, they moved to police to report about the incident.
