60 organisations organise public meet in Guwahati

Pratidin Bureau

The protest against the Citizenship Amendment Bill is still on. 60 organisations have come together to continue the protest across Assam.

The organisations have organised a public meet on Sunday. The public meet has been organised in Cotton State University's Sudmerson Hall.

Renowned intellects of the state will also attend the meet here today.

In this meet residents of Guwahati will be able to put forth their views to the organisations.

Earlier on Saturday, 70 organisations had come together to plan and come to a resolution as to how to go about the protest against the amendment bill across the state.

These organisations have been trying their best to save the identity and integrity of the people of Assam and the land itself, a role which was supposedly to be played by the state government.
