70 organisations to strike in Delhi on Dec 9

Pratidin Bureau

The leaders of the 70 organisations on Friday said that they would sit for a strike in Delhi from December 9. They were addressing a press conference at the office of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) in Guwahati.

The leaders of the organisations said that they would hold the strike in front of Sansad Bhawan in protest against BJP government's move. They said that BJP government has betrayed the people of Assam.

They also voiced against privatisation of the oil and gas fields. "Delhi should reject their decision of selling oil fields to private sector." They also said that Delhi should also refrain from their decisions favouring capitalists.

The leaders also expressed their grief towards the demise of Gyanendra Rajkhowa, who was shot dead by police during panchayat election in Golaghat. They demanded compensation from the DC.
