“75000+ COVID Patients Expected in Next 2 Months” – HBS

The COVID-19 situation in Assam will remain challenging till the end of November. The cumulative infected tally for October and November will be more than 75000.

This was said by Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today while attending the Plasma Donation Programme organized by Junior Doctors' Association at GMCH.

Shedding light on the availability of vaccine against the contagion in the state, he asserted that one shouldn't hope for a vaccine before December, and that the state government will be able to arrange for vaccine and therapeutic vaccine in the last month of this year.

Speaking about the countless sacrifices being made by the people directly and indirectly related with the fight against the pandemic, he lauded the efforts of doctors and healthworkers.
