All Assam Students' Union (AASU) on Monday felicitated the rank-holders of Class X and XII Assam board examinations at a felicitation programme organised at District Library auditorium in Guwahati.

The students' body also honoured the teachers of the educational institutions that produced the rank-holders in the two state board examinations.

Addressing the gathering, AASU general secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi congratulated the position holders and wished for their bright future.

He also urged the students to focus more on their studies and work hard for the future and help in building a strong Assamese society.

The felicitation ceremony was attended by a number of dignitaries including educationalists, bureaucrats, teachers and a host of other persons.
