AASU fires at BJP’s minority cell chief

Golaghat unit of All Assam Students' Union (AASU) onSaturday staged a massive against Assam BJP minority cell chief Syed MominulAwal for his remarks against AASU and its General Secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi.

The Golaghat AASU dragged the effigy of Awal andshouted slogans against him. They further asked Awal to recall his and hisleaders' past before commenting on AASU and its members. It may be mentionedhere that Awal recently had said that AASU has kneeled down before theinfiltrated Muslims. He had also said that AASU is allied with the Congress.

"There is no difference between BJP and Congress. Ifone party stands for the interests of the illegal Muslims, the other issupporting the interests of the illegal Hindu Bangladeshis," said a member ofGolaghat AASU. "AASU not allied with any religion or political party," remarksanother protesting AASU member.
