Additional list to the draft National Register of Citizens (NRC) was published today enlisting against foreigner's case was going on but not to contain results of disposal of Claims and Objections.

The additional list will contain only the names of those persons who figured in the complete draft NRC published on 30th July, 2018 but were found ineligible for inclusion due to any reason including DV (Doubtful Voter) or DF (Declared Foreigner) or PFT (person with cases pending at Foreigners Tribunals) or those, who were found ineligible during hearings held for disposal of Claims & Objections.

The display of publication of additional list will start from 10AM on Wednesday at the NRC Seva Kendra (NSK). Those persons whose names are included in the additional list can submit their claims and after proving their eligibility their names will be included in the Final NRC. They will be informed individually through letters to their addresses. They'll be given an opportunity to file their claims before July 11, two weeks before the final publication of the NRC.

The NRC authorities will publish the additional list under Clause 5 of the Schedule of the Citizenship Rule, 2003.

The final NRC will be published on July 31.
