Assam Engineering College (AEC) and controversy seems like never ending affair as another shocking incident from the reputed college has come to light on Monday evening.

Two local minors were allegedly assaulted by AEC students inside the campus hostel no. 3 yesterday. The students were recovered by police from inside the hostel with brutal injuries and abruptly shaved hair on their forehead.

"According to some students, both the minors from the locality entered the hostel illegally with the intention of stealing the gadgets of the students," according to a police source quoted by a regional media agency.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has taken Suo moto cognizance of the same and action is likely to be initiated against the hostellers.

Students of the hostel however denied the allegations of any physical abuse.
