After cow & Supari, now Fertilizer syndicate with Myanmar

After cow, Supari now there is a fertilizer syndicate operatingclandestinely between Indian and Myanmar with a monthly turn over of Rs 60 crores.

The Myanmar supply Supari's and truckloads of the same enter India through Saiha and Moreh. On the return journey, the trucks carry back Fertilizer from India avoiding the duties from both side and sale it to Myanmar.

These fertilizers are brought to Silchar from North Bengal as domestic consumption and then they were taken through Myanmar's Champai district to Myanmar with an onward journey to Mandalay and beyond.

This was done with a select group of businessmen with the connivance of Customs, Mizoram and Assam Police.  The Fertilizer packet is picked up at a rate of Rs 35-rs 380 price band but sold in Myanmar in Rs 850-Rs 880 price band.
