Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Shiladitya Dev said that there will be a massive agitation against National Register of Citizens' (NRC) from November.

Dev alleged that the NRC will be published including the names ofBangladeshi Muslim.

He further stated that the NRC to be published on August 31 will destroy the Assamese community. He further alleged that the NRC authorities have issued notice to one martyr Madan Mallick's family claiming that they are foreigners.

Criticizing All Assam Students' Union (AASU), Dev said that they areeating sweets even after insulting the martyr at the time when AASU weretalking to 855 martyrs' family.

Dev also attacked AAMSU asking why they have not been able to identify even one Bangladeshi Muslim.

Dev further demanded that the work of NRC which is full of Bangladeshi Muslim names should be stopped immediately.
