AGP-BJP celebrating the ‘visit’ ritual

After announcing alliance ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections, leaders of both AGP and BJP are now busy in visiting each other's offices. Following the visit of BJP leaders including Assam BJP president Ranjeet Dass, Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, MP Kamakhya Tasa and prabhari of Assam BJP Mahendra Singh to AGP office in Ambari, Guwahati on Thursday; several AGP leaders on Friday visited Assam BJP office at Hengrabari in the city.

AGP president Atul Bora, Ministers Keshab Mahanta and Phanibhusan Choudhury, Kamala Kalita, Ramendra Narayan Kalita, Satyabrata Kalita and Pradip Hazarika visited State BJP office on Friday.

According to reports, there are some discontents among cadres of AGP and BJP in various districts of Assam. Notably, former CM and AGP founder-president Prafulla Kumar Mahanta has also expressed his displeasure over the alliance.

Meanwhile, both the parties will address a joint press conference at the BJP office in Guwahati in a while.
