Hemen Borah, the legal advisor of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has formally announced his resignation from the party on Wednesday.

Informing about his decision, Borah told Pratidin Time that he took the decision after BJP and AGP announced their alliance for the coming Lok Sabha election last night.

Advocate Borah was seen inactive within the party for quite some time. Notably, several other party workers of the AGP were also seen unhappy with the decision of the party leaders to tie up with BJP for the coming elections.
