AGP suspends member for speaking against the alliance

The leaders of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) have suspended its one of the executive member- Pranab Goswami on Thursday for allegedly talking against the recent alliance between AGP and BJP.

AGP General Secretary Kamala Kalita on Thursday sent a letter to Goswami and informed that he has been suspended from the post of Executive Member of the party for speaking against the alliance in front of media. Kalita also informed Goswami that he has been suspended from primary membership of the party for a year.

Notably, there are some discontents among members of both AGP and BJP in various districts of Assam. Also former CM and AGP founder-president Prafulla Kumar Mahanta has expressed his displeasure over the alliance.
