AGP Won’t Compromise in 14 Seats: Kamala Kalita

The General Secretary of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) Kamala Kalita said that the party won't compromise with the 14 seats with BJP. He said that the general meeting of the party will be held on August 27.

Addressing a press conference after the meetings of the central committee at AGP headquarter in Ambari, Kalita said that the alliance of Congress and AIUDF won't impact AGP adding that many members will join AGP soon.

Kalita also hinted that Dr. Paramananda Rajbongshi and Dulu Ahmed are likely to join the party.

The press conference has been addressed after the general meeting of the central committee today the party headquarter with the district officials and members.

The meeting was attended by the party President Atul Bora, Keshab Mahanta, Satyabrat Kalita and other members.

However, Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, Brindaban Goswami, Utpal Dutta and Kabindra Deka have not attended the meeting.

The agenda of the 2021 Assembly election was also discussed in the meeting.
