AIUDF chief Ajmal’s assets doubled in 5 years

AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal declared assets worth Rs. 76.02 crore in his nomination papers, almost double from Rs. 42.25 crore he had declared in 2014. He has become the richest candidate of Assam.

Interestingly, assets of his wife also increased during last five years. According to affidavit filed by Ajmal, his wife's property has also increased from Rs. 79.32 lakh to 2.76 crore.

The annual income of AIUDF chief Ajmal is Rs. 4.29 crore, while his wife's annual income is Rs. 7,850 only.

Meanwhile, there are six criminal cases registered against Ajmal in Dispur, Baghbar, Nagaon, Dhubri, Pulibar and Kokrajhar police stations in the State.
