Pratidin Bureau

The KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi along with the members of other 69 organizations ended their 24-hour hunger strike in Guwahati on Tuesday at 2PM. They staged the hunger strike in protest against the BJP government's decision of passing the much-debated Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in Lok Sabha.

The protesters staged the hunger strike at Chachal in the City on the eve on Bhogali Bihu and various leaders and common public visited them during the strike.

Earlier, after the Citizenship Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha on January 8, the KMSS leader had announced that he would not celebrate this Uruka as this is a crucial time for Assam and its people.
