Alleged HIV positive: Home Guard Jawan released from duties

In anutter inhuman incident, a Home Guard Jawan of Nalbari has been sacked from hisduties for allegedly being HIV positive. According to reports, the jawan identifiedas Chandan Deka was appointed as a computer operator at Nalbari SP office, butreleased from his duties recently.

Dekainformed that he has tested for HIV at the Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospitalin Nalbari, but reports revealed that there was no presence of such virus inhis body.

However,higher authorities have not allowed him to join his duties even after his testsresulted negative.

Thejawan asked the government and concerned authorities to take necessary actionregarding the issue.
