Anti Corruption Cell raids Cachar dist. election office

Acting on a tip-off, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) team has caught an officer red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 at Cachar district election office on Thursday.

The accused officer identified as Atashi Bhattacharya (Head-clerk) had allegedly demanded the money from a businessman against the tender of printing related works.
