APCC holds party meet today

The AssamPradesh Congress Committee (APCC) called on the Congress MLAs in Guwahati'sGateway Grandeur to discuss on important matters concerning the party.

Accordingto reports, plans were chalked out, to take over in the 2021 Assembly elections,in the meeting.

Now, Congress'aim is Mission 80, said APCC president Ripun Bora after the meeting.

There isanother meeting of the party's extended executive members which has been scheduledin the Rajiv Bhawan.

It may be noted that the party is likely to take strong action against former Congress minister Gautam Roy and few other senior leaders.

Reportedly, former minister Gautam Roy had celebrated thevictory of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the recently declared Lok Sabhaelections. As per sources, the APCC may take the decision of suspending Royfrom the party during its meeting.

BesidesRoy, action may also be taken against former MP Dwijen Sharma, Romen Borthakurand youth leader of the party Partha Pratim Bora for allegedly sabotagingparty's prospects in the recently held Lok Sabha elections.
