Recently, Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) has issued advertisements inviting applications for filling up the posts of Grade-3 and Grade-4 in APDCL. However, application charges were comparatively higher than normal.

Due to the ongoing protest against it by applicants of the state, APDCL has compelled to reduce the application fees. The application fee now has been reduced from Rs 500 to Rs 100 for General caste, Other Backward class (OBC), and MOBC candidates.

On the other hand, the application fee for Scheduled caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) has been reduced to Rs 50.
