APSC Cash for Job scam | 27 Agricultural Development Officers to be arrested

In recent development in the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) cash for job scam, more officers are to be soon arrested by Assam Police in connection with the scam.

According to reports, 27 Agricultural Development Officer (ADO)s are to be arrested for bribing the main accused in the scam, Rakesh Paul, and forging answer sheets to successfully crack the APSC exams.

The soon to be arrested ADOs were appointed in 2015. The answer sheets of these officers were collected by police in 2015 following a complaint filed at the Bhangagarh Police Station in 2015.

They allegedly agreed to pay a bribe of Rs 15 lakh to Rakesh Paul and used duplicate answer sheets to write their exams. The police are likely to arrest Basanta Doley, Bedanta Bikash Das, Samedur Rahman in connection with the case.
