APSC scam: Arrested officers continue to be in Police Custody

The police custody of the 19 officials arrested yesterday in the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) cash for job scam is expected to increase as they are going to be produced before the lower courts today.

The police will be demanding 14 more days of police custody for further detailed interrogation.

Those arrested include 13 Assam Civil Service (ACS) and three Assam Police Service (APS) officers besides a District Transport Officer and two tax officers.

With this the number of arrested persons in the cash-for-job scam in the APSC has shot up to 65, including 54 APS, ACS and allied service officials.
