APSC Scam – Rakesh Pal’s bail plea rejected again

A special court in Guwahati today rejected the bail pleas of main accused Rakesh Pal in the infamous Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) cash for job scam.

Rakesh Pal requested for bail in a FIR filed against him in Bhanagagarh Police station in the APSC scam.

Another officer arrested in the scam, Basanta Doley, also found his bail being rejected by the special court.

The special court termed the case as a 'White Collar Crime' and said that crimes like these demolish a state's economic and social structure.

Previously, the Supreme Court termed crimes like the APSC scam as 'White Collar Crime' and on basis of the same judgement, the special court in Guwahati rejected the bail plea.

The court also said that bail cannot be approved to these criminals unless whole investigation process in completed in the case.
