Assam : 104 road traffic accidents during Holi

Like bygone years, the Holi festival this year has also been marked by a large number of revelers meeting with road traffic accidents in the State. These accidents are only the ones that have been attended to by Mrityunjay 108 Emergency Services.

This year, the state has witnessed as many as 104 road traffic accidents that have been attended to by Mrityunjay 108 Emergency Services.

Kamrup district has topped the list with 17 road traffic accidents, followed by Kamrup (M) with 14 accidents and Jorhat coming third with 12 such cases.

According to reports reaching here, Kamrup (17), Kamrup Metro (14), Jorhat (12), Nagaon (9), Bongaigaon (5), Dibrugarh (5), Sonitpur (5), Tinsukia (5), Dhemaji (4), Goalpara (4), Udalguri (4), Darrang (3), Barpeta (2), Chirang (2), Hailakandi (2), Kokrajhar (2), Nalbari (2), Sibsagar (2), Baksa (1), Golaghat (1), Karbi Anglong (1), Lakhimpur (1), Morigaon (1).
