The state of Assam on Sunday reported 2,167 COVID-19 cases and 36 deaths in the last 24 hours.
The new cases were detected out of 1,00,455 tests conducted today, Assam health minister Keshab mahanta confirmed.
Today's positive rate is 2.16%, he added.
Kamrup Metro district alone reported 226 cases. The state's recovery rate stood at 90.14.
