Assam: Amit Shah to address 2 public rallies today

BJP President Amit Shah will set foot in Assam today to campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He is scheduled to address public rallies in Kaliabor and Jorhat.

Shah is slated to reach Kaliabor around 1 pm and address a gathering at the T Ao Rural Stadium to pitch for BJP ally AGP's candidate Mani Madhav Mahanta.

Around 3 pm, the party president will address another rally at the Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology playground to campaign for BJP's Topon Kumar Gogoi.

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, NEDA convenor Himanta Biswa Sarma, State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass, AGP president Atul Bora among other senior leaders of the coalition will be present at both the venues.

Shah will leave for New Delhi from Jorhat in the evening.
