Pratidin Bureau

Expressing anguish over the candidature of Pallab Lochan Das from Tezpur seat, the sitting MP of the constituency, MP Ram Prasad Sharma said, "There is Himanta-raj going on in the State BJP."

While speaking to Pratidin Time's Editor-in-Chief Nitumoni Saikia in 'Janamat' programme on Saturday night, RP Sharma said, "Assam BJP has converted into H-BJP that is Himanta BJP." He also took a dig at the Assam Minister saying, "The minister who went to hunt down the tiger (RP Sharma himself) sustained injuries in Tezpur." "The senior party leaders denied ticket to Himanta as the minister has influenced State BJP leaders not to include my name in the list of panel," said RP Sharma during the interview.

He also alleged that the Himanta has been planning to replace Sarbananda Sonowal as the Chief Minister.

Notably, RP Sharma had also announced to form a new political party- 'New BJP'.
