ASSAM: COVID-19 Hospital at Patanjali Yogpeeth starts functioning

A new COVID-19 hospital at Patanjali Yogpeeth, Mirza, Palashabri has begun operations from today. The dedicated hospital will have 250 beds for the treatment of COVID-19 affected persons.

Assam Health department will run this hospital by appointing doctors, nurses, and para-medical staff. This apart, the facility will be equipped with all facilities necessary for COVID-19 treatment.

Taking to Twitter, Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Glad that the 250-bed #COVID19 Hospital at Patanjali Yogpeeth, Mirza, Palashabri has begun operations from today. Visited the Hospital again and promised all help to doctors and staff by Government. This facility boosts our pandemic management infrastructure."
