P&RD to conduct door to door survey under PMAY-G

In Assam, the Panchayat and Rural Development Department has stressed on accelerating the pace of overall development of rural areas through successful implementation of various programmes.

The department has also taken steps for conducting a door to door survey under Prime Minister Awas Yojna Grameen (PMAY-G). For this purpose 26,810 village level facilitators are being imparted training by State Institute of Panchayat and Rural Development who will visit every household under PMAY-G to understand the problems faced by the beneficiaries.

To make this drive a success, Rural Development Minister Naba Doley has directed all the departmental officials to participate in the survey. Accordingly, about 10,000 officials have started the campaign on Saturday including night halt at newly constructed PMAY houses.

Doley along with other ministers, MPs and also MLAs will take part in the drive to inspire all concerned.
