In a major opportunity for the unemployed youths inthe State, the Assam government has decided to set up a Skill University inDarrang district. The Mission Director of Assam Skill Development Mission, APTiwari on Saturday informed about the decision during an interview with the AllIndia Radio (AIR).

Tiwari said that the university will be set up at the cost of Rs. 850 crore. This will be perhaps the first skill university in the country.

The Mission Director further informed that the university will have the capacity of 10 thousand seats. He also said that 80 percent seats will be reserved for Assam and rest 20 percent for other North Eastern States.
