Assam Minor Girl Forced To Work As Domestic Help Rescued In Kashmir

A minor girl from Assam who was brought to Kashmir on the pretext of a job but later forced to work as domestic help was rescued by the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU).

As per reports, the girl was brought by a private agency that promised her a job in an apple processing unit.

With police assistance, the girl was rescued and produced before Child Welfare Commmitee (CWC) via Child line.

Soon after, the District Child Welfare Protection Officer, ICPS Anantnag, District Protection Unit, Peerzada Farhat issued an order for restoration of the minor girl.

Legal-cum-Probationary Officer, Anantnag Sana Majeed was deputed for handing over the minor girl to CWC Assam," an official said.

The victim was then flown to Assam accompanied by the concerned officer and on Tuesday, the girl was reunited with her family.
