Assam pavilion wins gold at India International Trade Fair 2018

The Assam Pavilion in India International Trade Fair (IITF), 2018 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi has been awarded the gold medal for the best pavilion. Union Minister of Commerce and Industries, Suresh Prabhu, presented the award to Bipul Das, Director, Assam Pavilion on Tuesday.

With products of traditional industries and products based on locally available raw materials, the Assam pavilion was beautifully decorated.

Bamboo wood flooring coupled with Assam tea display and special tea tasting counter under the dome depicting Kamakyha Temple, along with live demonstration of muga yarn reeling were the major crowd puller.

It may be mentioned that, Assam Pavilion was previously awarded gold medal for best state pavilion at India International Trade Fair in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
