Guwahati | Petrol pumps to go cashless from tomorrow

Neither the consumers, nor petrol pump owners will bear the burden of transaction surcharge on fuel purchases through debit or credit cards.

In a major breakthrough, the petrol pump owners in the city have decided to go cashless completely from tomorrow until the elections end. As per reports, the petrol pump owners have been facing a trouble over Cash transaction after the enforcement of Model Code of conduct (MCC) for Lok Sabha Elections.

Several petrol pump owners in the state have come under the scanner of Election commission during this election. The owners had to face problems regarding cash deposits in bank. That's why situation compelled them to go cashless completely from tomorrow.
