Assam Police constable gets ‘National Pride Excellence Award’

An international karate player and 12th APBN (Assam Police) personnel Manjit Dihingia has been selected for National Pride Excellence Award 2019.

In December 2017, Manjit accomplished a barefoot marathon (200.2-km long) in just 25 hours and 10 minutes. He started the barefoot marathon on December 19 at 9:54 am and accomplished it on December 20 at 11:18 am.

In 2016, Manjit rode a Ranger cycle while playing Assamese folk instruments like flute, dhol, taal, and pepa without touching the handle of the ranger cycle from Gohpur to Kusumtula (80 km). He tried to spread awareness about saving and promoting Assamese folk musical instruments.

URF (Universal Records Forum) granted him Universal Records Forum Top Talent Award, 2016. He also got a honorary doctorate degree from World Records University in 2017.
