Assam Reports 3,679 New COVID Cases, 43 Deaths

The state of Assam on Monday reported 3,678 new cases of coronavirus with a positivity rate of 2.52 per cent. The active cases stood at 39,362.

The overall tally of the state is 4,63,175.

Further, 43 deaths were recorded today, while, 4,299 cases were discharged.

The districts with the highest cases are: Cachar (281), Tinsukia (268) Dibrugarh (266) and Sonitpur (259).

 The new cases were detected out of the 1,46,046 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

The total recoveries in the state has touched 4,18,472 with a recovery rate of 90.35 per cent, while the death tally has climbed to 3,994.

The district-wise deaths registered today are: Golaghat (5), Tinsukia (5), Dibrugarh (4), Barpeta (3), Cachar (3), Kamrup Metro (3), Karbi Anglong (3), Baksa (2) Chirang (2), Darrang (2), Kamrup Rural (2), Biswanath (1), Bongaigaon (1), Dhubri (1), Hojai (1), Kokrajhar (1), Nalbari (1), Sivasagar (1), Sonipur (1), Udalguri (1).
