Assam reported 97 new cases out of which 39 were reported from Kamrup Metro on Wednesday.

The active caseload of the state stood at 3544.

The new cases were detected out of 22969 tests conducted with positivity rate of 0.42 per cent.

Meanwhile, 90 cases were discharged today, pushing the recoveries to 210488. The recovery rate is 97.88 per cent.

The death tally of the state has touched 1007.

So far, the total cases in the state has escalated to 215042.
