Assam Rifles jawan wounded in Imphal grenade attack

A jawan of Assam Rifles was wounded in a grenade attack in Manipur's capital city Imphal on Tuesday. He has been identified as N Prem Singh.

Unidentified miscreants hurled two grenades at the office of the military unit in Imphal, where the jawan of the 23rd battalion of Assam Rifles was posted. According to reports, the incident took place between 6:30 – 7:00 pm.

The jawan, who suffered minor injuries, was rushed to the hospital. Senior Police and Army officials reached the spot after the blast.

An investigation is under way.
