Nalbari in lower Assam has been completely devastated by the worst floods in years. Representing Assam Sahitya Sabha, President Paramananda Rajbongshi visited the district to take stock of the flood situation.

Rajbongshi also put forth a helping hand towards theaffected people by handing over food items to the Nalbari DC Bharat Bhushan DevChoudhury.

On the other hand, the Sahitya Sabha President sat in adiscussion with the DC pertaining to the use of Assamese language ineducational institutions.

The President, further, added that the organisation willforced to take strict action if every University does not start the use of thelanguage soon.
