Assam son among 4 martyred in Chhattisgarh Naxal encounter

An Assam son lost his life in an exchange of fire between security forces and Naxalites in Chhattisgarh.

The Border Security Force (BSF) jawan from Assam, who has been martyred in the encounter has been identified as Bipul Borah of Dhonekhuwa in Gaurisagar's Dikhowmukh.

Four BSF personnel were killed and two injured in an encounter with Naxals in Chhattisgarh Thursday.

As per the Chhattisgarh Police, the encounter took place when a joint team of BSF's 114th battalion and the District Force was out on a search operation in a dense forest near Mahla village at around noon.
