Assam Startup organises three-day bootcamp

A three-day bootcamp, organised by Assam Startup – The Nest, has kick started from Friday. The camp is mainly designed to prepare the startups, which have been selected for physical and virtual incubation at the first state-owned startup hub, for the cohort period of six months.

25 startups have made it to the final list of startups for physical incubation at The Nest, an initiative of Assam government's industries and commerce department, with 27 to be provided virtual incubation.

Veteran professors, expert startup mentors and seasoned entrepreneurs will address various sessions during the camp. Personalities such as Prashant Mishra, Dean (New Initiatives and External Relations), IIM Calcutta; Rajesh Singhal, assistant vice president, Bennett Coleman and Co Ltd. (Times Group); Chandradeep Mitra, corporate trainer and startup mentor, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park; Dr Subhrangshu Sanyal, CEO, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park and Abhijit Bhuyan, co-founder and managing director of Bohniman Systems Pvt Ltd, are among those to take sessions during the bootcamp.

The incubated startups will be mentored by industry and business experts. Further, they will also be provided access to infrastructural facilities, capacity building programmes, business support services including legal and financial expertise, market and funding connect, and crucial networking opportunities.
